Sacramento is the capital seat of California and county seat of Sacramento County. It sprawls across approximately 100 square miles, 97% of which is land, and sits at the intersection of the American River and Sacramento River. Known for its Mediterranean climate, Sacramento boasts an average yearly temperature of around 59 degrees, although one can expect some amount of fog almost 100 days out of the year.
